Choosing My Group

Selecting your group is easy on the Greekgear.com web site. In general you have three options for entering your group name: 1) Individual Letter Drop Down Boxes, 2) Group Name Drop Down Boxes and, 3) Fill-in-the-Blank.  The screen shots below indicate how to select your group using each of the above options.

To choose your group using the letter drop-down boxes (highlighted in red above), simply pull down the options arrow and select your first, second, and if applicable third and fourth letters.

Select from the sorority or fraternity categories to choose your group. If your group is not listed in the drop down box it is not available for that item.

Our great products are customized to order, which gives you incredible possibilities!  However, because all of our Greek products are officially licensed we cannot print everything.  To ensure your order is received without delay avoid using profanity or derogatory language.

Choosing My COLORS*

*First Things First- What you see is not exactly what you get.  Because monitors are made by different manufactures, are owned by different users, are run with different computers, and are calibrated differently, we cannot guarantee that you will get exactly what you see.  However, we do guarantee that your order will look great!

We offer a variety of color combinations for your printed items.  To order the best looking products on the web, you'll want to understand how color selection works.

PRINTED ITEMS

When you order printed items from our website you will (in most cases) be selecting two types of colors, the item color and the imprint color (see figure 4.) The item color is the color of the clothing you are ordering.  The imprint color is the color of ink that will be imprinted on your item.

TWO-COLOR IMPRINTS

If you selected a printed item that offers two-colors you choose the letter and outline colors.  The outline color can also be considered the background color. Often the outline color shows behind open areas of letters, such as "O" and "A".  See figure 5 for an example.

EMBROIDERED ITEMS

Selecting colors for embroidered items is easy.  Items that offer "foreground" and "background" colors are easily customized to achieve the look and feel you're looking for.  Figure 6 shows the difference between the two.

Understanding color selection is quite simple.  When selecting the foreground color, you are choosing the color or pattern of the largest area to be sewn.  The foreground is the top most area of the design. 

The background is behind the foreground.  Background colors form an outline around the foreground. Background letters can only be solid colors.

Here's how coloring works for home and away shirts: Let's say you order a navy shirt with a gold imprint.  By adding the option "Home and Away" you are adding an opposite of the original item.  In this case it would be a gold shirt with a navy imprint.

Many embroidered items offer background and foreground color options.  When your item has a foreground color option, you can choose a solid fabric or, for that special touch, you can also choose new patterned fabric.  Check out our fabric swatches and patterned fabric swatches.

*Patterned foregrounds cannot be rushed.

When I Need It Fast: Rush Orders

For your convenience we offer rush production on many of our items.  Choosing rush production bumps your order ahead of standard production orders, ensuring you receive your order as quickly as possible.  See Figure 7 to see where to choose your production time.

The normal production time for printed items is 7-10 business days.  Rushing your printed items ensures shipping by the third working day (3 days) after your order was placed. 

Embroidered items that are rushed ship no later than five working days (5 days) after your order was placed.  Normal production time for embroidered items is 2-3 weeks.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

The standard fields and drop-down boxes take care of most of the crucial information we need for orders.  Occasionally our customers have additional information pertinent to their order. If you have any special instructions for us we want to hear them! 

Figure 8 shows how to send us your special instructions while going through checkout.  After entering your shipping, billing, and coupon information you will find a box labeled "comments."  This is where to write your special instructions.  Be thorough and descript if possible.  If we cannot understand what you are looking for one of our customer specialists will contact you to confirm your desires.

Making My Order A Gift

Many of our customers ship their order as a gift.  Just about any item we produce can be gift wrapped and sent to your loved one!  We can ship just about anywhere, including overseas and to APOs. 

We make ordering gifts a breeze at Greekgear.com!  Figure 9 shows you were to designate your order as a gift.  All our gift orders are placed in a Greekgear gift bag and include a personalized message of your choice.

Coupon and Discount Guidelines:
  • Coupons and discounts are valid for online orders only- they are not valid for phone or mail orders.
  • If you have a coupon or gift certificates that can be redeemed from Greekgear.com - Fraternity & Sorority Superstore, please enter the offer code in the Coupon or Promotional Code box during checkout.
  • You must click "apply" to validate the coupon.
  • Coupon, discount, and gift certificate adjustments will be shown at checkout.
  • Coupons and gift certificates can not be combined in the same order.

Checking My Order Status

Once your order has been placed with Greekgear it goes directly into the production phase.  The order will remain in the production phase until it ships. When trying to track your order with our online system, please be aware that it only tracks packages that we ship via UPS. Packages that we ship via the U.S. Postal Service cannot be tracked online at this time.

Please also note that we do email you tracking information the day your order ships. It will include the tracking information, the method it was shipped and the estimated arrival date.
