Delta Gamma women’s fraternity, one of the oldest and largest women’s fraternities in the United States and Canada with 141,000 collegiate lifetime members, was founded on December 25, 1873, in Oxford, Mississippi, at the Lewis School for Girls by three friends: Mary Comfort Leonard, Eva Webb Dodd, and Anna Boyd Ellington. The group’s colors are Bronze, Pink, and Blue and the Delta Gamma motto is simply “Do Good” – ‘nuff said. If you are fortunate enough to be offered membership through one of their chapters, you will be joining the ranks of some famous Delta Gamma sorors including Cheetah Girl Sabrina Bryan, actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Joan Lunden, the former host of Good Morning America.
