Founded on the Howard University campus, Delta Sigma Theta was started in 1913 by young women who wanted change. Their motto, "Intelligence is the torch of wisdom," is the root of their existence, and their classy colors of crimson and cream represent exactly who they are. They are the largest black sorority and boast members like actress Ruby Dee Davis and Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs-Jones.
